Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu Episode 11: In which wars somehow take less than 15 minutes now.

Your drill is the drill that's gonna bust through heaven and earth and even tomorrow! *dies* Garrick: I figure this would be a good episode to blog, because it… well… as my title says. Spans two entire ESB’s in one episode. That’s pretty awesome. And it’s better than the superbly comedic past few episodes. (more…)  Read More →

Kimi ni Todoke Episode 22: “Let’s Go.”

kimi-ni-todoke-episode-22-lets-go

Minnie: The reason for this being tremendously late? I’m still sick and I’m beginning to worry… Am I ever going to get better? Don’t worry. It’s not like I’m dying or anything. I just hate being sick, but not bedridden sick. You know what I mean? Anyways, I did manage to watch this episode and here is your lame, short, not-very-fangirl review on it~ (more…)  Read More →

Kimi ni Todoke Episode 21: “You Smiled”

kimi-ni-todoke-episode-21-you-smiled

Minnie: I am going to say this once and hopefully, don’t need to repeat myself: I am sick again. I blame the weather. And with that out of the way, I am here with your newest blog entry on Kimi ni Todoke. If I am able to switch my dog’s name with my best friend’s name, you guys better be aware of name switching for this entry~ Let’s hope I catch them before I publish the entry itself~ (more…)  Read More →

Hanamaru Youchien Episode 9: Love and Dreams

hanamaru-youchien-episode-9-love-and-dreams

Has anyone noticed that older-Hiiragi looks like... a blue-haired SAMUS?!!! Yes. This is Star Wars, too. Garrick: Wow. It’s me. Again. Somehow. It’s been a while, yes, I know, but this anime just became too funny to pass up reviewing. The reason why I chose this title, is not only because that’s what the episode is about, but as I could surmise, it’s what the anime itself is about. In it appears all sorts of different loves… most of which are unrequited or impossible… and in this episode… some absolutely hilarious scenes come of it. And when I say hilarious, I mean hilarious. Dance in the Vampire Bund Episode 8: Some vampire series use subtle sexuality… This one does not.

Oh yeah, and a new enemy appeared - I'm just too distracted by the sexcapades to mention her. Katt: It has been… a long time since I have blogged this series. For that, I’m sorry, but I totally would have blogged episode 7 had I remembered that there was no new episode last week–more time to blog, right? Instead, I forgot, and made Hanasakeru Seishounen’s finale my priority when episode 7 aired and then never went back to blog that missed episode. I’ll give it a speedy re-cap here to make up for that (not that a short blurb makes up for neglecting an entire post. Ah well). (more…)  Read More →

Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s Episode 98: In Which The Fillers Are Finally Over!

Ric: Hello everyone, and welcome to the H,S,A debut of Yugioh 5D’s, a show with many cards and many more shenanigans for everyone to enjoy! (No, seriously. This show is batshit insane at times.) TAAN: Right, right, hey there all. As your two resident duel experts, Ric and I will be covering this series after many, many months of pointless delaying and stalling, right Ric? Ric: No comment. Truth be told, I’ve been planning to blog this for a long time, I just…kept forgetting to (You all may have missed the best, yet most ridiculous filler arc in history.) do so. Better yet, this is a “Jack duels!” episode. So it has to be good, right? RIGHT?! Yes and no. Last Episode: In the run up to the start of the WRGP, Yusei... (more...)

Minnie: After going through a terrible week and probably another terrible week next week, I feel like blogging this episode is a saving grace. Seriously. Everything is going downhill for me. It must be because my luck is running out. But of course, it doesn’t matter, does it? Because I am here to blog your late review of Kimi ni Todoke! (more…)  Read More →

Armed Librarians 21 & 22: The End of the Start of the End?

armed-librarians-21-22-the-end-of-the-start-of-the-end

Ouch…That’s gotta hurt. D: Miken: Thanks to Crunchyroll, I’m now watching this and a number of other series as simulcasts with 110% more legality~ Though I should’ve started off watching this on Crunchyroll in the first place despite week-long waits. Anyways, we delve deeper into just how Noloty died and why the hell is everyone spontaneously wanting to kill the Armed Librarians. As expected of this series [for those who haven't given up on it prematurely], it’s still very good and it really hasn’t gone waywards in terms of delivering a very interesting story with enjoyable characters. Ladies vs Butlers Episode 7 & 8: Harems Are Serious Business.

Beauty in the eye of the beholder. Steve: Most of this entry will cover Episode 8 aka Drill/Main Harem Lead episode. However, Episode 7 is so fantastic that I have to talk a little bit about it. I know I didn’t blog it despite it being an awesome episode. I had no screen shots and no motivation last week. Moving on, let’s take a look at the latest episodes of L v B. (more…)  Read More →

Dance in the Vampire Bund Episode 6: I’m reminded why I don’t miss high school – everyone is stupid there

dance-in-the-vampire-bund-episode-6-im-reminded-why-i-dont-miss-high-school-everyone-is-stupid-there

What you don't see are all of the other students awkwardly watching their 'moment'. Katt: We have officially reached the halfway mark of this series and…um, we really haven’t even gotten through one arc, have we? Sigh. On the plus side, though, the ending of this episode implies that we’re finally getting to the heart of this vampires-in-the-school plot that has been building for what feels like a very long time. Add to that constant questioning of Mina’s intentions and, well, we’ve got an episode of this series that’s similar to all of the other... (more...)

Chronically Behind: Neon Genesis Evangelion

chronically-behind-neon-genesis-evangelion

Miken: Seeing as I’m watching more and more old shows on top of my 10+ new shows per season, I suppose I should at least leave some comments on the older series that I’ve watched/caught up on. The first and hopefully not the last post will be of Neon Genesis Evangelion. I had seen an episode or two many years ago, but I never really got the chance to sit down and properly watch it. However, my boyfriend annoyed asked me into watching it in its whole glory. The first half of the series is tame enough. You can see that each character has his/her own problems, but it isn’t really... (more...)

Hanasakeru Seishounen Episode 39 [FINALE]: Warning – this episode contains an epic slow-mo shoujo reunion

hanasakeru-seishounen-episode-39-finale-warning-this-episode-contains-an-epic-slow-mo-shoujo-reunion

Do I sense a dramatic reunion approaching? I think so~ Katt: Waaaaah, it’s over!!! This is so depressing. What ridiculously melodramatic reverse-harem shoujo series will I watch now?! And this finale…ah, I still don’t know what to think of it really. It made me laugh, it made me ‘aww’ – didn’t make me cry, but maybe that was the reaction they were going for when I ended up laughing. And the conclusion was satisfying in its own way, but I guess I was just expecting more from it as a whole. As parts, though, this episode had lots of merits, and as such,... (more...)

About us

This blog Hey, Say, Anime! was build right at the beginning of the 2008 Anime Fall Season. The two founders of the blog were no other than Minnie and Garrick, who decided to collab to write reviews for all the wonderful animes coming out this fall season. Because it was Minnie and Garrick alone, our blog was named OMG Anime, which stood for Opinions of Minnie and Garrick on Anime. However, since that first day, our group of writers have grown. We are always welcoming new writers with unique writing styles and have a love for anime as much as us! Please be sure to drop us an e-mail!
