Shikabane Hime: Aka Episode 12

The fated event.

The fated event.

Garrick: So I’ve made it to the end of this series… with quite a bit of tardiness… but for all of you that have read my reviews through the season, thank you. (Yes, I know that’s not many.) We have quite a fitting end to the anime’s season, and of course, there’s a new season already airing. I can’t wait to continue. I know that this isn’t really necessary, anyhow, since the next season seems to start off right where this left off… so… I pretty much wasted a paragraph of space. Go me. Anyway… on with the review.

Garrick: This episode continues on with the battle between the two members of the Shichisei and Makina and Tagami. Although, I will tell you ahead of time, something that I’ve been waiting for FINALLY happens.

Garrick: As was shown in the previous episode, the Betrayer Monk’s powers that involve the corpses of people are weakening. Why? He doesn’t have enough. And… well… in order to reload quickly, he decided to take the EYE of a Contracted Priest… or Keisei’s. In the midst of being attacked by the Betrayer Priest, being stabbed by Oori, and being attacked by the other member of the Shichisei, you could guess that Tagami’s going through a rough time. And, what else, in order to defeat the Shikabane member of the Shichisei, he bites a capsule of poison. He spits it out to poison his opponent, but of course, crushing the bottle in his mouth would affect him, too. And… once again, what else, is that he ended up using the sutras he obtained while in the main headquarters of the Kougon cult. Which… hurts him. All of these things added together… and… well… Long story short, he dies.

Garrick: Although, not before passing on the Contract to Oori. With that, Makina goes on a bit of an emotion-fueled rampage. Understandable. Using the power from Oori’s body… she kills the Shikabane… and, well… in the process, nearly killing Oori. Realizing that he has no chance to win from that point, the Betrayer Monk leaves, and due to his relationship with the late Keisei… saves Oori who was nearly dead by Makina overusing his power.

Garrick: But, like always, he leaves the group with a bit of happiness… giving Oori a birthday present… and, yeah. Nobody else is happy, though. Understandably.

  2. Garrick Says:

Yes, I’m an idiot, okay? I admit it! *sigh*

So the first episode of Kuro came out the same day as the 12th episode of Aka. What was I supposed to expect? TT_TT And now I look like an idiot to the internetz.
