Minnie: Because Koala fails at blogging (more so when I’m away), I’ll take on Valkyria by myself now. I don’t want to pester him anymore because it’s not worth it. From now on, if he doesn’t blog Valkyria the same day it comes out and I’m not busy, I’ll be stealing Valkyria from now on. Mean? Yes. But I’m already too fed up with it as it is. It’s sort of stressful being the leader and a nice one to boot. Plus, it’s the end of my finals for this week so I might as well start my blogging streak with a bang since the front page wouldn’t be the same without many Minnie posts am I right?

Minnie’s Anticipation for Next Episode: 10/10

Thoughts: Faldio is really hot. Anyways, Welkin proves to be a capable commander this week. Alicia proves that she has the skills and determination to be the heroine of this story. And last but not least, Hans the winged pig is ridiculously cute. So very very cute. I am certain that these enemy commanders we are meeting this early in the anime will be later bosses. They won’t be easy to take down but I can’t wait to see how Welkin/Alicia and co. pull it off!

In-Depth Fangirling to a Degree:

Even though Rosie is pretty badass herself, Alicia is even more badass. I don’t know about you but if any other girl but Alicia had put their hand over Rosie’s mouth, I don’t think they will live to see another day. In any case, I love this screen shot a lot because of the expression on Rosie’s face when this girl who is most likely younger than her shut her up without warning! Hahaha. I love Alicia.

No, really! The piglet is a spy! Haven’t you heard that winged piglets can send out messages by flying and the oinking out loud to its owner? Did you know that these piglets are very good at getting away due to their cuteness? You might shoot a human enemy spy but would you ever dare kill this guy? No! I rest my case. The piglet is a spy and a very clever one too. It knows these girls in the army will fall for it at first sight… even Alicia…

Sometimes, I wonder Alicia but… why do you think about Welkin so much? =3 Is it because that everything he does gets on your nerves? Is it because you know you really do admire him but you have to be all tsundere about it? Or is it that every time you think these thoughts, you make such a face that all of your viewers know that you will eventually end up with him? Be a little more dere Alicia!

To be honest, during this whole conversation between Faldio and Alicia, this is what really happened in my head when I saw it:

Faldio: You’re so pretty Alicia <3
Alicia: Please refrain from private talk Lietenant!
Faldio: You should call me Faldio now since we’re getting to know each other and all <3
Alicia: Please refrain from private talk.
Faldio: You’re spunky Alicia <3 You should be with bishonen like me <3
Alicia: Please refrain from private talk!
Faldio: Maybe we should become lovers by the end of this anime.
Alicia: Please refrain from private talk and no!
Faldio: Damn I knew it. It’s because I’m not the main male lead…

It’s not that different from what actually happened right? And come on, does Faldio have any chance with Alicia with Welkin around? Not one bit. Still, it’s a pretty interesting pairing that might develop… To be honest though, these types of conversation should be saved AFTER the battle is OVER. XP

Faldio sure knows his way around a girl. He manages to put a nut down her shirt, making it seem like he just wanted to wake her up and teach her a lesson about nervous soldiers on the battlefield. We all know he wanted to see her bra, that perv. Oh Faldio. If you keep this up, all your Faldio/Welkin fangirls will go away! Oh wait. They never go away….

See?! SEE?! The piglet is right here in the tank! It’s a spy I tell you! It’s sending messages to Maximillian right now! The fiend! The… very cute fiend… I won’t fall for that helpless look on your face >//< Aw! Forget it! SO CUTE!

Hm. Let’s see. He’s no ordinary pervert. Actually, he’s a pervert who has enough logic in his head to know that he’s the squad leader and that he’s responsible for the people behind him. Personally, I love Faldio. I think he’s a light-hearted, funny character that this show needs! Plus, he makes a good foil to both Alicia and Welkin. Still, he’s such a perv. XD

Dun dun dun. Animosity or friends? We’ll see. All I know is that the battle to take either of these guys down will be a hard one and I can’t wait to see what Welkin will do to defeat these two. Five episodes in and I am already cheering for Welkin. He’s a great commander. His unpredictable character reminds me of Kyoko from Skip Beat, which is funny because Marina Inoue is voicing Alicia…

Alicia… you totally claimed the heart the attention of that enemy commander. He’ll be looking out for you now. Is this foreshadowing to a Alicia versus that commander showdown later on? I wish. I can’t wait to see her take him down. He seems like a pretty cool guy though so I’ll be sort of sad. All in all, pretty and kickass Alicia for the win!

Faldio ends the show. We all love Alicia, Faldio. You’re just late into the game in realizing how great she is.

Next episode, the news reporter lady is introduced! I’ve been waiting for her arrival since the very beginning. It seems like she will be hitting on Welkin while Alicia is listening in on them. I’m pretty sure she has a very good reason why she’s doing this since previews can be misleading. I don’t see much Faldio next episode so I’m sure it will be centered on Alicia/Welkin. Hurray~
