Garrick: Yeah. This is SO not me. This anime. I mean, I know I was originally the blogger of Shugo Chara, but did that really seem like it fit me either? No. Neither does this. But, whatever, I signed up for it, so I guess I have to do it.

Garrick: Anyway, we have ourselves a cute little story of a girl who’s in the shadow of her younger sister, a soon-to-be master pianist. Feeling left behind, our protagonist, Ichigo, goes through a bit of an emo moment… but as it turns out, she’s a very calming person. Especially to her sister.

Garrick: After the concert, finds herself in a Sweets Festival, and drowing her sorrows (of being behind her sister in everything) in cake. This is where we are shown a few memories of her and her patissiere grandmother. Making “magic” cakes. That make people smile. Sweets can do that, can’t they.

Garrick: While buying cakes, she comes upon a cake that tastes very much like the ones her late grandmother made, and, well, asks the creator about it. Surprisingly, we now know that her grandmother was a student of the school that our new character (Bishie alert) Henri, has gone to to learn about baking. St. Marie.

Garrick:  So, Henri makes a new cake, and gives it to Ichigo to try, who nails the feeling she was supposed to get from the cake on the dot. Which makes Henri believe that she’s got a lot of potential. And asks Ichigo to attend a section of the St. Marie school in Japan. And after a rather hilarious scene between her and her parents…

Moms trying to get their kids to follow their dreams... are scary. Especially with golf clubs included.

I thought it was cute. Funny though that it totally went for the sterotypical male moe. Glasses boy. Charming prince boy. Bad attitude jerkoff, that needs to be shoved down the garbage shoot but will most likely end up with the hero, boy.

But I like it all in all.

  3. Garrick says:

    Yeah. It’s pretty cute.

  4. Serenity says:

It reminds me a little of the manga series Kitchen Princess. A reverse harem for chefs, but with younger characters and a fairy on the side… Wait, it’s also kind of like La Cord d’oro but in the kitchen.

Garrick, you know you so love writing blogs about cutesy reverse harems with fairies. ;)

Shhhhhhh. That’s so not me. =P
