Yup, Yano still hasn't manned up to see Nanami yet.
Minnie: There has only been two shoujo anime that I’ve watched (one completed and one not) where high school love is depicted so realistically that I can agree with how the characters feel and act. One of them is Kare Kano and the other one is none other than Bokura ga Ita. After such an anime ending from Bokura ga Ita, I set myself out to blog the slowly updating manga. I know I missed a couple of chapters and I know there are a couple of future chapters that I should be blogging but this will do for now. I will try to keep up with blogging this and my other anime/manga.
Let’s hope I can keep up this momentum~
♥ Since I have a lot of blogging, homework, and work to take care of, this will be a short entry. Why blog it? Because I want some spotlight on one of my favorite mangas of all time~ It deserves at least a paragraph of my thoughts no? On the other hand, if TZM is reading this, I’m really disappointed in you for not blogging the latest chapter of Vampire Knight.
It was actually really exciting for once. Oh well.

♥ Doing what Bokura ga Ita does best, the whole chapter is about Nanami and Yano and their past with one another and how they should deal with their present relationship (or lack of). In other words, a bunch of thoughts… dialogue… and memories of each other. You know how it goes. The usual, good stuff. In this chapter though, there is one particular scene that really stands out to me and you guessed it- it’s the one I have the picture of up there.
♥ Throughout this whole chapter, Nanami is basically working super hard so she can avoid thoughts of Yano. Omg, Nanami, I swear you are the most realistic shoujo character in existence. That’s exactly what I did after my breakup with the only person I ever had feelings for in my life. That’s what you do after a hard breakup- do whatever it takes to get your mind off it and Nanami did just that.
EXCEPT we all know a nosy friend won’t let Nanami go about this without confronting Yano at least once and resolve their feelings. I approve of this, but at the same time, I can’t help but feel that Nanami is better off delusional. It’s a form of happiness in itself. If she never has to see him, she never has to feel that pain again. It’s a defense mechanism most ex-lovers use and it works quite well. Of course, since we need drama, the friend (forgot her name) will keep pushing them together since in her eyes, they’re meant for each other. They really are but too many things come up… as we all know.
♥ What makes Bokura ga Ita one of my favorite manga is the dialogue and thoughts… they’re so realistic. When Nanami asks that question up here, I was literally in tears because it’s so true. You’re in love and you’re hurt. You shy away from seeing one another to the very end because it’s a different form of happiness. Blah! I can’t describe my empathy in words well enough. All of you- go read Bokura ga Ita if you’re into realitic drama stuff.
As for me, I’ll wait for the next chapter to cry my eye out again.
♥ Also, sorry for my babbling in this entry. The next one will be a lot more coherent <3
