Thanks to lines like this, I love this manga even more.
Minnie: I’ve read this a few days ago, but I didn’t want to review/blog it until I was done with Kimi ni Todoke. Now that Kimi ni Todoke is done for last week, I am free to type about my second favorite manga of all time <3 With the mangaka back from hiatus October I believe, we are getting new chapters of Bokura ga Ita! The latest one is of course the long-awaited Chapter 55 after Nanami and Aki getting wasted at some restaurant.
Yano is the one who takes them home, but… what happens after?

♥ It’s amazing how long love lasts sometimes, and this is definitely the case with Yano and Nanami. Even though Nanami doesn’t remember that Yano is the one who took her home the previous night, she dreamt of him or… so she thinks. However, even though her head is fuzzy, her body knows. She tells Aki that she has that tingling sensation like back in her high school days. We don’t know what exactly Yano and Nanami talked about, but it might have been something big… and more importantly, emotional and heartful.
♥ If this manga is like any other shoujo, Aki and Nanami would have dragged Take into the middle of all this and create a ton of misunderstanding mumble jumble, which will inevitably lead Nanami back to Yano. No, that doesn’t happen here. We don’t get ten chapters of miscommunication. Instead, Yano tells Aki that she owes him a lot of money for picking her up. Straight away, Aki and Nanami know that Yano is the one responsible for their safety. I like how quick this is because then, we can get to the good stuff.
Come on. Most of us are Yano/Nanami supporters right?!

Let’s talk about that awesome phone conversation for a second. I’ve had phone conversations with my significant other (at the time) before. This is how it sounds like. Seriously. Nanami and Yano don’t even act like they’re strangers or even friends. They talk as if they’re either lovers or almost lovers. XD It’s kind of hilarious. I love how realistic and amazing this phone conversation is. They stumble… they interrupt each other’s words. This is why I love Bokura Ga Ita so much. It is sooo realistic in every way possible <3
I also love the denial between the two. They’re in love, but they won’t admit. All the readers know that they both have feelings for each other, but now, they’re trying their best to be companions. It’s sort of sad and too realistic for words. I remember back in the old days when I did things like this in the in-between stage of my love life. XD Nanami and Yano have to get back together >:C There are too many promising hints.
♥ The last scene!! UGH. This manga is so freaking sad… which makes it one of the best out there. >//< I feel so much for one chapter of this manga than I do for like 20 of some others.
But really, Yano crying really gets to me. Nanami’s words really get to me. This whole chapter got to me. The mangaka still got it <3
♥ I can’t believe the next chapter will be out in January. Besides Sand Chronicles, are there any other realistic shoujo mangas out there for me to read? XD And Kare Kano, which I highly recommend. I need to finish that… Last but not least, I have to say this: NANAMI/YANO FOREVERRRRRRR!!!!
Minnie’s Overall Enjoyment for Chapter: 9/10
Minnie’s Anticipation for Next Chapter: 10/10

I like the story. It make my heart wave. But somehow, Yano burns someone alive by his and her promise and he should know because he was in love with his old dead girlfriend before. It’s not fair to let her wait. Anyway, what is the point that he comes back after all? For my opinion, I feel like the author can not find the good ending. However, I like your review. I feel the same.
i love this story! but it’s so sad..i think that yano is confused about his feelings ..well he loves her..but there’s something there..something that i can’t understand yet..well this anime it’s totally amazing!
