I can’t like Sawako ever. She’s too much like how I used to be. It’s almost painful to watch. I’m not saying I don’t like this series though.

Perfect episode.

Early on, Kimi ni Todoke hit me as, way melodramatic, but the way I see it now is that it’s like a masked theater work. Or maybe it’s just the creative team have set up these expressive scenes as though to copy a panel straight from the manga. Regardless, as Minnie says about Sawako, “She’ll convince you to like her in no time like the rest of us.” So True.

I’m completely won over with these characters and scenes. And isn’t Yoshida/Ryu a nice extra?!

Loving this series.

This episode made me want to…
a) eat ramen, and
b) hang out with a small group of friends at someone’s house.
Seriously, the group dynamics are portrayed too perfectly! The using Ryu to get into the opposite sex’s brain, the flipping through a past yearbook to see how people have changed, the teasing by taking advantage of obvious crushes… Wah, I miss doing this! I’m too old! D=
