Ichigo is happy. For succeeding for once.
Garrick: Shortly after impressing Kashino with her chocolatey roll, Ichigo gets another chance to impress. This time it’s for birthday cakes and the such.
Garrick: But before they make cakes, first, we have to have our group realize that they all have Sweets Spirits. Kashino has Chocolat, Hanabusa has Caramel, Andou has Cafe, and Ichigo has Vanilla. And I’m fairly sure most of these names have accents somewhere in them.
Garrick: And upon realization that she has a Spirit, they hold a welcome party. Where all the food is randomly summoned by the other Sweets Spirits, I guess. Man, if those things really existed, then there would be no hunger in the world. Just fat.
Garrick: And, so, after this, we segway into the next section… the St. Marie kids making birthday cakes for the Kindergardeners at the… eh… Piyo Piyo Kindergarden. And, each group makes a cake for a kid.
Garrick: And, we get our introduction to a little girl, Ringo. (AKA Apple, in Japanese) This little girl is lonely and has no friends, and of course, in her niceness, Ichigo wants to help. She talks to Ringo alone, and realizes that the easiest way to make her happier… is to make her an awesome cake.
Garrick: So, she spends days researching an idea for a nice cake… and well she comes up with a great idea. And, as they go and work on it, there are a few people in the class that aren’t happy with Ichigo’s involvement with the elites of Group A…
Garrick: That group happens to be Group B, and of course, they themselves are pretty darn good at making yummy cakes. But in order to get back at Ichigo, who they consider unfairly got her position in Group A… steal her idea for the birthday cake. And use it for their kid whose birthday is being celebrated that month.
Garrick: And, with just a few hours left before the birthday cake presentations… they accuse Ichigo of stealing her idea. Of course, we all know that Ichigo made it up, but they will present the cake first. So… what can the A-Group do?
Garrick: Using the quick thinking of Ichigo, they make up a new idea for a cake. Using the Sweets’ Spirits’ help… they make a great cake that also manages to help Ringo make friends in the Kindergarden. How sweet.
