Dari: ok, first up, sorry about missing eps 3-8, I was writing up reviews during my free time on a note pad, but I’ve mislayed that note pad, so I’ve decided to just jump up to the most recent episode. I might post a combined review for all the missed eps later if I find that notepad.

Dari: This episode, as you probably know, is set in the 1st stage world, after all that has happened… (man, it feels weird saying this, as I haven’t reviewed the earlier episodes…) It Nia arrived in the 1st world about 5 years before Tomo and Kanade, and was all alone. She was comforted by the 1st world’s Tomo and ended up growing feelings for him (I’m sure all you NiaxTomo fans out there are happy about this). It was her that developed the Asura Machina, and gave 1st World Tomo Higane to travel to the 2nd World

Dari: Also, due to Kanade losing her demon powers, she is unable to protect her self, so Tomo becomes a demon to save her, and his power is to summon a large demon like creature, (that kind of reminds me of an Asura Machina the way it stands behind him).

Dari: Anyway, from here on out through this post I’ll be mainly saying random things about screen-shots from this episode, an act inspired by Minnie’s very enjoyable fangirling posts.

OK, does anyone else read between the lines here and see that Nia isn’t so concerned about him grabbing her breast, and more about the fact that he said another woman’s name while he said it? She’s gone from looking at Tomo as if he was untrustworthy to being tsundere…

… a bear, a dog and a horse all eating the same food… never mind that bears are omnivores, horses are herbivores and dogs are carnivores… oh well, I guess all pets at the Kitsutaka household are fed meat…

ah yes, no matter what universe you are in Tomo, girls will always point swords at you, it’s your fate.

… Generally when you confess your feelings at the same time that a monster crashes into the ground just metres away, the other party doesn’t hear you.

Notice this, Nia is now more concious if her body, more so when around Tomo, oh what 5 years can do.

yep, she’s full of her self, as usual, but this time it isn’t about her intelligence… yes, she’s trying to show off to Tomo.

and Tomo gets dragged off my Aki. Go Aki!

… There’s nothing strange about this picture, nothing at all. It is perfectly normal for school girls to ride down hills on giant fish…

Yet again Tomo finds himself in a precarious position…

… um, Tomo, you met Aine in episode 3, which for you was less then a year ago. You have not known Aine for a long time!

yes, they are the perfect couple the womaniser and the tsundere.

of course it is! it’s a bit hard if he says yes to going with you after the party has come and gone.

yes, that’s right, it’s Yukari! who is most likely who the Shuri we know actually is.

here we go, more shots comparing the Shuri we know, and the 1st world’s Yukari.

yes, she knows the truth, but more importantly, look at that kind look on her face, and how she touches Tomo’s face.

Because in the 2nd world you pretend to be Shuri!

I’m not sure if he’s talking about 1st world Tomo, or Shuri.

… OK, the Lines I get annoyed by the most, lines that number among the most common lines used in shounen.

… you don’t say… why is it that characters always say the obvious in these positions…

that is incorrect, “a” is singular, you however have 3 “scratches”, scratches that have you kneeling to recover.

…Why the stereotypical Shounen lines! why couldn’t this have been a Seinen anime? it has such a good concept, but is corrupted by Shounen!

Tomo the demon, he has a red eye and a closed one…

Tomo’s cheating on Kurogane and getting another large monster to stand in his shadows.

hang on, wasn’t this the place where the experiment took place?

yes, it finally comes out that Nia loved the 1st world Tomo, and it seems as if those feelings are rubbing off onto the 2nd world Tomo

She may have aged 5 years, but she’s still the same Nia.

well, at least he isn’t as late as I am with my blogging, though ep 10 finished airing in Japan only about half an hour ago, making this the closest to on time post yet (not including the xxxHOLIC manga post)

as you can tell, I love the concept of Asura Cryin’, but I get annoyed by it’s stereotypical Shounen events.

Dari’s aproval of this Episode: 8/10 (the shounen lines caused it to lose points)
