hanamaru-kindergarten-episode-4-i-really-wonder-what-kindergarteners-learn-these-days

Garrick: Hiiragi is adorable.

Garrick: I don’t really remember my years when I was in kindergarten, but I do know it wasn’t ever having to do with going out on dates with the teachers. On that note, though… Somewhat similar to Kodomo no Jikan, I never even thought about that… in that age. I dunno. I guess I’m just weird or something. Well… I KNOW I’m weird, so… uh… yeah. That was a waste of a paragraph. Anyway, on with the post.

Garrick: Our little Anzu really likes Tsuchida… we know that. But this episode… we get a few little “dates” between the two… during school time… on the school grounds. I guess it’s sort of the image that Anzu has of a date with someone you love… and, well… yeah. It’s a really weird scene, and cute. But weird. This coming from a major lolicon.

Garrick: Anyway, of course Tsuchida isn’t up for the task, but he can’t exactly go, “No, I hate you, go away,”, so he agrees to the “date”… and they had fun, I guess. It’s cute.

Garrick: The second section of the episode involves Anzu again, but this time, Tsuchida isn’t there. Yamamoto, the other teacher that Tsuchida likes… takes over the Sakura class in Tsuchida’s absence. Before he leaves, he asks the class to help out Yamamoto. And Anzu, always listening to Tsuchida… really does try to help.

Garrick: While also making a mess of the room and everywhere she goes. Not that Yamamoto can fault her. She’s a little kid, it’s what they do… and she silently cleans up after her little helper. It’s really sweet how she accepts it and smiles. Yes, I’m a fan of her. When Tsuchida comes back, it seems that Anzu and the group, have made friends with Yamamoto… and it’s quite adorable, the things they do.

Garrick’s Rating for Episode Four: 6/10

Garrick’s Anticipation Scale: 5/10

About us

This blog Hey, Say, Anime! was build right at the beginning of the 2008 Anime Fall Season. The two founders of the blog were no other than Minnie and Garrick, who decided to collab to write reviews for all the wonderful animes coming out this fall season. Because it was Minnie and Garrick alone, our blog was named OMG Anime, which stood for Opinions of Minnie and Garrick on Anime. However, since that first day, our group of writers have grown. We are always welcoming new writers with unique writing styles and have a love for anime as much as us! Please be sure to drop us an e-mail!
