Dari: Sorry for being late again, I had little time to work on this over the last week, due to lab reports, and a ski trip, and so episode 5 will also be a little while in the making ,but should be out before episode 6, but then, I believe, I have another Lab report to write… Such is life.
Dari: A Rainy day with little progress being made is how this Episode starts out. Kanata is still unable to play the bugle in a way that doesn’t hurt the ears, and Noel is having trouble with Take-chan (for those that have forgotten/not read my review of ep2, that’s my nickname for the tank) continuously getting errors when ever she tries to load the visual display.
Dari: The Captain sends the two of them into town to pick up supplies, as well as parts for Take-chan. One of the shops that they buy from is the one from the 1st episode. While there Kanata keeps on staring at the glass dolphin (which she mistakenly calls a fish, but Noel corrects her),before they go on to the glass factory where the dolphin was made. At the Factory, Kanata helps figure out the content of the lens using sound, and the Big boss of the glass factory gives Kanata a hint for playing brass instruments, using glass blowing as an example. Somehow, Kanata is able to play perfectly right after listening to this hint… Why the inhuman music skills?
Things to note:
The Tank (Take-chan):
Progress is being made, with the secondary lens in place and working, it’s onto the next part that is missing…
Kanata’s Music:
Yes, the beginning of this episode is probably the last time we will ever hear Kanata’s poor excuse for music, from now on it will be good.
Noel’s Technophilia:
“Machines won’t betray you,” this line makes me believe that at one point in Noel’s past, she was betrayed by someone close to her, and so turned her trust towards machines, which is the cause of her technophilia.
Screen shot commentary:
Two Girls, both alike in troubles…
That’s the question all the town’s people are asking
There’s Something cute about her like this…
Kureha is putting 2 and 2 together… 2 mums…
… She’s 15… and she can drive… and I’m 19, and I can’t … *goes off to corner to cry at how pathetic he is*…
Too True
We have another victim of Kanata’s insanity attack…
Ok, I won’t deny it… there is something cute about her insanity…
Noel obviously hasn’t heard of Skynet
She’s back! Insane Girl B… oh, and her real name’s Mishio…
… Ouch… Yet so true… Kanata can not respond…
Nice looking Factory
Does that make engineers from that era (which is our near future, I believe) like magicians?
This is like the “Guns don’t kill people, people kill people” thing… Which when you think about it, is true, the gun is merely a tool.
And this is where we’ve been wrong for so long, we thought Tanks were for making war, but all along they were for making music…
Tchaikovsky was on the right path using the canon as an insturament
Along with being a computer wiz and techie, Noel’s list of skills include the ability to fall asleep instantly anywhere…
This feels very philosophical… but it doesn’t apply to everything, only some things, like glass blowing, and brass instruments… maybe…
*strongly resists urge to say something scientific*
But, like all quiet types in anime, she’s so cute when she does
end thingy
Dari: Once again, I’m sorry this is late… I’ll try and get them out earlier, and also get some reviews of manga chapters out as well.
Dari’s Analytical rating of this episode: 8/10
Dari’s hiking enthusiasm for episode 5: 9/10

One more interesting fact we learned from this: for some reason, it appears sea life has gone extinct. I wonder why.
true… I Presume it has something to do with what ever decreased the human population, and what created that monster (you know, the fossil with no head) in the water (I’m not sure if it’s a lake or the sea) by Seize…
This is more of a Noel episode.
She is really smart.
