Minnie: Hello everyone! It has been a LOOONG time since I blogged Skip Beat. For the most part, it’s due to my lack of energy to do anything productive lately. Another reason is because I haven’t had the opportunity to fully blog a SB chapter. This chapter though… is a must blog and here I am. Please enjoy the post~ <3

I have less images than usual this time because I think less is more for this particular chapter. I don’t want to overdo it right? Anyways, it’s been a while for Skip Beat to get me this excited again. Admittedly, that Valentine arc was way too long for comfort. Boo~ I loved the events in it, but still, way too long! I’m glad for this new arc and for more… Ren/Kyoko!

Anyways, there’s not a lot of substance in this chapter, but hell, there are sure a lot of surprises. For those who have forgotten about Ren’s birthday present, Kyoko is here to remind us (in the first few pages no less) that it’s going to take a month or more to know what it is. That phone charm thing is just a… red herring. But yeah, the mangaka is just toying/teasing us now. We want to know already! It’s probably something none of us can guess either because she’s good at that~

The rest of the chapter is about Kyoko getting a transformation and Ren working on his character Cain for the upcoming movie. I love the conversation between Lori and Ren though… about the whole how the heck did Kyoko figure it was him despite him being so in character. XD Even though on the outside, Ren doesn’t seem too happy about the HOW, I think he’s slightly happy on the inside that Kyoko is able to do it effortlessly.

As for the transformation Kyoko go through, I have to say I’m sort of a fan of this new look. It’s not the look Kyoko wants since she’s into fairies and all that fun stuff BUT I like this a lot. I love Natsu more of course, but this is not bad either. Punk sister Kyoko to Cain~ What a setup! The president never fails to surprise me with his scheming ways. We both know that he knows about Ren’s past and he is pushing Kyoko toward that past. Let’s see how this goes!

For once, I can’t wait for the rest of this arc because one, it’s new; two, it’s not that Valentine arc; and three, there are endless possibilities to go from here. Most of us might wish for more Ren/Kyoko lovey dovey scenes, but I personally want to see how Kyoko will act out this character by Ren’s side. This will be awesome and… there’s a chance it’ll remind us why the forbidden incest sister/brother relationship is so popular~ Hehe. Next chapter come already!
