How does one tame a rampant, overfriendly crossdressing boy?
Katt: Let me start this post off by saying… I EFFIN’ LOVE THURSDAYS!!!! Now that Funimation is simulcasting Kuragehime, I get to come home on Thursdays to my two favourite currently-airing anime (the other being Shiki) subbed! The downside is that I have to wait a whole week before new episodes of them. It’s like getting a box of chocolates and eating the whole thing in one day; you have to ration to enjoy them over a longer period of time–but damn, they are too delicious to resist! …I think I’m getting side-tracked. I’m just, ah, enjoying the sugar high from eating that whole box of chocolates in one go? Alright I’ll shut up with the bad simile now and get on with my review of Kuragehime episode 2~
Minnie: Warning. This vlog is practically full of nonsense and hard to understand because… I fangirl every few seconds… Sorry for being so incompetent. T___T
TAAN:Well, turns out this isn’t going to be a 2 episode post, because I finally have some time. Unfortunately, I don’t know if I can get screenshots in the time I have. It’s not like you’ll be missing much though; there’s nothing too impressive about this series visually. I don’t get it, how do I have less time than before when my class load is less? Maybe I should procrastinate less…
…wait what? Episode 4 is already out? FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU–
Miken: Hmmm? You thought TAAN was going to cover this series? Well, with all this reorganizing I thought I’d snatch the one series this season that I was actually really looking forward to~ No V-log from me, I think I sound super-stiff and bleargh when I record so you all better strap and and remember how to read now! [That's not to say I might not collab with someone else on a V-log somewhere down the line]
I read through Letter Bee/Tegami Bachi (forgive me for using them interchangeably) shortly before the first season started in the Fall of ’09, and it was quick to pull me in. While manga like Pandora Hearts pull me in through the sheer power in the elements of the setting and amazing developments/twists, Letter Bee sought to amaze me in a much more subtle way. Instead of successive well-thought twists, it was filled with characters having small near-episodic adventures, developing little by little as the amazing eternal night that is Amberground was revealed in a similarly methodical fashion.
Octavia: What’s this I’ve actually blogged something?? Why, yes, yes I have =3 So here is my review for the first two episodes of Togainu no Chi. I hope you can all handle my awful awful voice. I absolutely love this show! I am soo looking forward to the next episode. I kinda recorded this on the spot so don’t mind me if I stumble haha. Next week I will try to make the video more interesting for your viewing pleasure =3
Tea’s overall rating for these two episode: 9/10
Tea’ overall anticipation for the next episode: 10 pretty bishie boys out of ten
Minnie: What is this?! This vlog is actually out early?! OF COURSE! I loved this episode soo much. I was watching it and couldn’t hold my fangirling in any longer so I vlogged it right on the spot For all of you who haven’t given Otome Youkai Zakuro a chance yet, I suggest you do! It’s a pretty nice show to relax to… IMO… Support HSA and its members by watching:
Minnie: I am back with my third vlog on this anime!! If there is one anime I want to consistently blog, it is of course Bakuman~ I must live up to my fangirling for it before it even aired. ^^ This anime is picking up pace already and I can’t wait to get to the juicier parts <333 Now, here is my lousy one minute or so vlog because I’m so lazy~
TAAN: I’ll be consistent on Friday, I said. Things will be different, I said. Well damn, I’ve got a bunch of tests almost constantly at the moment, so excuse my slowness. I’ll probably do a sloppy job and get back to studying this week. But whatever that’s not important.
Now, I have to say, I had high hopes for this show, but it’s really becoming more of a slice of life type deal like I hoped it wouldn’t. Well, we’ll see if it’s still good despite its mediocrity. (more…)
Minnie: I am pleasantly surprised by Episode 2 of this cute, little shoujo I picked up along the way. So far, it hasn’t shown any promise of new, enlightened material to add to the shoujo franchise, but it hasn’t shown anything that will deter me from watching it either. I enjoy watching Otome Youkai Zakuro so far. In other words, I believe I am on the bandwagon for this anime for another episode~ Here is my vlog:
Time for a rousing game of Guess the Gender! Hint: only one is male.
Katt: Oh, hey, have I finally decided on an anime to blog this season? I think I have! When we were all making our picks for this season, I was kind of intrigued by the description for Kuragehime; in spite of that, I was reluctant to commit to it. I procrastinated more and more on picking a series, then when the fall season actually started I had a look at the anime that would air in more deal. That’s when I noticed a few interesting things about Kuragehime: josei genre, produced by Brain’s Base, and in the noitaminA time slot. Consider my interest renewed and then some! And this first episode…well, click on the ‘read more’ link to learn what I thought about it!
