HISTORY
This blog Hey, Say, Anime! was build right at the beginning of the 2008 Anime Fall Season. The two founders of the blog were no other than Minnie and Garrick, who decided to collab to write reviews for all the wonderful animes coming out this fall season. Because it was Minnie and Garrick alone, our blog was named OMG Anime, which stood for Opinions of Minnie and Garrick on Anime. However, since that first day, our group of writers have grown. We are always welcoming new writers with unique writing styles and have a love for anime as much as us! Please be sure to drop us an e-mail! The most current news in regarding to us is that we have successfully moved over to our own server hosted by our awesome hostmaster 7. Please check out the official website!
THEME
Hey, Say, Anime! likes to follow a theme for every new anime season. The theme we are following is Durarara! Why? Because it’s one of the series least likely to suck this winter season~ Plus, there are a ton of characters to work with, right?

About me: Since this is the About Page, I will write a couple of things about myself. I am a writer first, everything else second. When I am not writing or studying during my free time, I am either playing video games, watching anime, reading manga/books, or playing sports. I am very simple, yet very complicated when it comes to anime. If an anime has a strong heroine, chances are I will watch it. If an anime is thought-provoking, chances are I will watch it. If an anime has a romance or drama theme, chances are I will watch it. But other than that, my taste is all over the place. I am not as big of an anime fan as my partner Koala aka Garrick or some of the other members. I simply watch them for fun and for the characters above all else~ For Hey, Say, Anime, most of my anime I blog will have a mix of romance/drama/comedy. About me: *sighs* Do I need to say anything? I dislike intro paragraphs strongly. I’m sure you can make out most of my personality by the way I type and my tastes. Which… sadly, clash. I’m normally sarcastic and cynical, yet my tastes are anything cute. That make any sense? Nah. Didn’t think so. I normally DON’T like things that need thorough thinking. I’m not good at that. That’s definitely a Minnie thing. I’m a shallow, first-layer reader. I don’t ever looks deeper than that. That’s just me. As for the last comment… Yes, I do count as an otaku, I guess. Although, normally, in a very… civilized (in a way)… controlled (usually)… manner. Maybe.

About Me: Hello tout le monde! I am a very casual anime watcher, but when I get into a series, I really grow quite attached to it whether it is fantasy or slice-of-life. My time is mostly consumed by university—both attending it and attempting to keep up with readings and essays—prose writing, video gaming, and trying to have a social life. Aside from those, I adore listening to music, drawing, going to concerts, and volunteering at an animal shelter. My interests may seem quite varying and anti-social for the most part, but I assure you that they all converge into a fun person who just takes some time to come out of her shell… in person. I join because they are missing a crucial anime I love. I also join because I have more time on my hands and because Minnie found me doing nothing and insisted that I become her devote follower from now on. I accept and here I am now. About Me: Hi, Miken here~ the group’s lazy one who still does a ton of work anyways. I suppose I first got into anime after the Pokemon craze and when Toonami was a weekday 2 hour blog of awesomeness. I grew up on the very high-energy action shows, so it really influences my preference in anime. In 2007, I started my own scanlations group (shamless plug), which is still running strong despite my horrible penchant for procrastination. I also do some subbing (mostly timing) here and there, mostly for the parent site of my scanlations site, Abyssal Chronicles. I joined HSA on a whim after seeing a friend posting here (Richie) and got pulled in by the friendliness of everyone here…Oh yeah, I’m a huuuuge Tales series fan like many of the others here on the blog.

About me: Awawawa~Where to begin, where to begiiiin. Well, I’m the first (currently only) British member of H,S,A, as well as possibly the least sane of the bunch. I’m a great lover of older series such as Casshern, Space Runaway Ideon, Mobile Suit Gundam and…pretty much anything by Osamu Tezuka. I may not be the fastest reviewer on here, but that’s because of umm…yeah. I’m just not the fastest reviewer here. I’m generally willing to answer any questions you may have (especially if they involve Megaman!), so if you ever have something to ask, please don’t hesitate to drop in a comment.

About me: All right, description time. I’m a college undergrad majoring in computer science, meaning my schedule usually sucks. I can pretty much watch any anime regardless of how bad it is. But then again, I haven’t watched that much being relatively new to the whole watching anime online thing. My interests shouldn’t matter as they are literally everything and the genres I blog are set anyways. I guess you can say I’m a hikikomori, only I do (grudgingly) go outside for classes and food and such. Aside from that, I am an artist, pseudo-writer, and semi-philosopher, my origin is regret, my nature is advanced contradiction, and I have the abilities of Antiplanning, Convolution Acceleration, Hatred Conversion, and Soul Emulation. My reality is heavily warped due to prolonged detachment from expected probability, excessive combined philosophical/psychological opposites, unchecked growth in personal mysticism, unfounded elitism, and *chans, it’s associates, derivatives, and imitators.

About Me: Hola, I’m Lisa. I’m a crazy teenage girl from Florida. Sarcastic, yet charming, or so I’m told. I’m cold and devious at first, but when you get to know me, I’ll open up and be your best friend. I like to help others, so feel to talk to me anytime. I’m enrolled in the International Baccalaureate in high school, and I mentor kids. I’m not into sports, but I love to draw, play video games, listen to music, and surf on the internet. About Me: Heya! I’m the latest addition to the family ^^ (It seems the oldest one as well.. T_T). I’ve been into anime for 12 years now. I’m not a complete fangirl, there are times when my fan side activates though. For that, an anime or manga series should have very well-developed characters. I don’t like a boy just because he is handsome, I don’t like a girl just because she’s beautiful. A character has to have a lot more than that to make me a crazy fan. I can become a beast those times, lol. I also pay attention to a series if it has a strong female character. I’m so tired of passive and good-for-nothing girls with no character development in a good way. My favorite genre is seinen (without unnecessary ecchi parts). Of course there are series that I love from other genres as well. I’m interested in seiyuu pretty much so I may babble about them in my posts many times ^^.
