12-141

TAAN: They did it. They used the ending that I always anticipate yet hope will not happen. I don’t believe it! You’ll see. Just read on. Yes I’m late but whatever.

Summary: With the realization that they can create infinite Ens, the Shikabane Hime and their Contracted (that term is coming up far too often this season) Priests fight against the Shichisei once and for all. In the city, Takamasa, Takamine, and Risa fight the old guy and Touya and win easily, due to them not calculating the reconstruction of the Ens. At the Joubou, Ouri and Makina fight against Akasha and Hokuto. The battle comes to a draw when a bullet destroys the rubble of the Joubou and reveals the circle of tombs. Upon seeing this again, Akasha remembers Hibiki is in one of them, and the En between him and Hokuto breaks. Hokuto feels betrayed and returns to being a normal corpse and kills Akasha in one hit. Hazama, the invincible bugman returns at this point and takes Hokuto and runs. With the Shichisei destroyed, most of the corpses in the city die on their own, losing their raison detre, bringing that crisis to a close. Ouri tries to help Makina live a normal life again, but she realizes that it’s not what she wants and goes to find and finish off Hokuto. She also realizes that Hokuto is merely a corpse that has forgotten about life and death, and so she plans to beat those concepts back into her and finally defeat her. Ouri is swayed by her reasoning and agrees to help her, so they set off to Hazama’s hideout. Once there, Hokuto gets excited and they start fighting. Hazama, weary from battle and his organization crushed, yells at them to stop. He and Ouri watch the fight from the side, unsure of what to do when–

Ending Thoughts: I really want to read the manga now. They’re so evil like that. The series wasn’t that spectacular, but they didn’t turn it into one of those annoying superpower shows where they’re always trying to find logical flaws in each others abilities. that gets annoying no matter how much I like it. Overall, it was interesting since the nature of the battles made the focus both on the battles themselves and the circumstances surrounding them, rather than just purely on the fighting. I liked that.

Shikabane Hime: Kuro – Episode 2 to… 11…

sorry...?

sorry...?

TAAN: Yes, I really suck at getting stuff done. I’m about a week late for the latest episode, and I’ve only gotten up to the second one. So anyways, here’s a (sort of) comprehensive summary of (practically) the entire second season of Shikabane Hime (so far). The episode breaks aren’t exact or clean. Now then, prepare for a massive Wall of Text (and some pictures).

TAAN: I’ve been having a bit of bad luck lately, but it’s nothing to worry about. More importantly, I recently watched the final episode of Aka, which for some reason the producers decided to air after the first episode of Kuro. Well, in any caseit wasn’t too much, but it makes my previous post a little wrong. Well more like redundant or whatever, but… Actually, who cares? Here’s the second episode. Sorry about the lack of pictures. I’ll put them in later, I promise. Pictures are now added, but sorry about the half-assed comments. My head’s been dull for a while because of certain assignments.

Shikibane Hime: Kuro Episode 1: The Re-rebirth of Makina

Because rabbits to the stomach hurt. Or whatever's going on here.

Because rabbits to the stomach hurt. Or whatever's going on here.

TAAN: Oh, what’s this? Three in a row? Just two more and I shall have the front to myself! Is what I would have said, but this was supposed to be post two and I accidentally deleted it or something. Still, now I control three posts and only need two more to complete my conquest. But luckily for everyone else, I’m going to sleep after I finish this. Anyways, though this may be the first episode of the new Shikabane Hime, it hardly seems so as there’s barely any delay between the end of Aka and the beginning of Kuro both in air times and in plot. Even the intro is exactly the same, which I think is pretty cool because they made it in such a way that there are spoilers, but you’d only know what they were if you’ve watched all the episodes. This is the kind of intro I like. (more…)
