To Aru Kagaku no Railgun Episode 24 [Final Episode]: The badass of the badass. And yet still amazingly touching.

Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010

Mikoto's standing ON a speeding car, fighting a giant robot. What's more awesome than that?

Garrick: I’ve been really inconsistent in blogging this recently. But this is the final episode, and it wouldn’t be right for me to not blog this amazing anime’s final episode. If you don’t know what’s been going on up until now… then… well, you probably should read this post. But if you persist in reading, then, well, I’ll recap the episodes I missed. Well, not exactly the episodes I missed, but the major arc that’s been finished up with this episode… along with the anime itself. (more…)

To Aru Kagaku no Railgun Episode 17: Now this is a nice change.

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010

Garrick: Oops.

Garrick: Well, this new arc follows our two Antiskill members, Tessou and Yomikawa. We don’t get much info on their personalities until this episode, and I’ll tell you Tessou is the clumsy-moe type… The one who trips and makes mistakes and such. Cute. And Yomikawa… is the spartan-type senior in the police force (Antiskill)… Oh. And guess who else makes an appearance? Komoe-sensei! The loli teacher!

To Aru Kagaku no Railgun Episode 16: I guess it’s gotta be milk.

Garrick: Of course, we continue the Kurozuma/Mii arc… Which, in all honesty, bores me… I guess. Not much else to say…

To Aru Kagaku no Kagaku Episode 15: Strength in numbers, I assume.

It's gotta be the milk. Got Milk?

Garrick: From what it looks like, we’re going into more of the problems between people with no psychic abilities, versus those with abilities. And, of course, we have the involvement of Judgement… and all that will end up involving our main group of four… Mikoto, Kuroko, Uiharu, and Saten, probably my new favorite character. Hopefully all this will lead up to something happening for Saten.

To Aru Kagaku no Railgun Episode 14: Pretty calm now.

Because a really calm episode... deserves a really calm picture.

Because a calm episode deserves a calm picture.

Garrick: After our fight with the giant baby of 10,000 brains… we’ve gotten several filler-tastical episodes… A swimsuit episode. Yeah… we don’t need that anymore. We’ve gone on and now, well… I’m not exactly sure what’s going on. But what I do know… is that we’re going more into the lack of ability in Saten… and hopefully, it changes. Because Saten deserves some power.

Garrick: Although, honestly, not much happens this episode. Those who use the Level Upper program are put into this supplementary classes thing… where they’re taught the real way to level up. Considering that all powers are all separate realities in their mind coming to life… you have to expand your reality, and well… your physical limits. So… you run.

To Aru Kagaku no Railgun Episode 13: So, we’ve always gotta have a

Nice picture.

Garrick: Yep. I missed one. Sorry, guys. But, I’m here (albeit late) with episode 13. And well… I must say, there isn’t much that happened in it but an apparently required swimsuit episode.

To Aru Kagaku no Railgun Episode 11: Holy. Crap. What the hell just happened?

Loli in a tub. Why? Because I can. And it's free. *shot*

Loli in a tub. Why? Because I can. And it's free. *shot*

Garrick: I’m lucky this season. Thank to my choice of anime. Not just because I have just two of them. But because everything one of them is trying to be (in its own way)… the other one IS. For example. I’m sure you all remember last week’s Yumeiro Patissierre review. I had about the same title. Why? Because the ending was like… what the heck.

Garrick: But not the same way this “What the heck” is. In Yumeiro, it was what the heck because, to be honest, it didn’t really make sense. It was just a gross overreaction by some boring characters. (sorry if you like them. I’m in a rant-ish mood) This? This is just awesome. We had one mind-shattering story, one absolutely insane battle scene… a crazy reaction… and ANOTHER story twist. All in one episode. Actually, scratch that. In a span of TEN minutes.

Garrick: This takes the dramatic scene that Yumeiro was TRYING to get… and ups it by a factor of…. eh… (forgive me) OVER NINE THOUSAND. And I’m serious about that. And while the repercussions of the events in that episode of Yumeiro are gone by one episode, and appeased with rather cliche and boring events… I can assure you (and I don’t know the storyline of this)… How this new event is resolved… WILL NOT BE BORING.

Saten. Telekinesis. Good.

Saten. Telekinesis. Good.

Garrick: Wheee. Following Saten’s declaration of her obtaining the Level Upper… and, uh… telling her friends of it… you can only guess what’s going to happen. And of course, Saten doesn’t know about the side-effects of using the Level Upper. And you KNOW how much she wants to use it.

To Aru Kagaku no Railgun Episode 9: Wow. We get some Saten and Kuroko awesomeness this episode.

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

I love it when Saten does this.

I love it when Saten does this.

Garrick: Seriously, yay for Saten. (Not Kuroko, since she’s actually strong) I won’t go much into it now, but we get quite a level of awesomeness from her. Anyway, we’re following more into the Level-Upper incidents and… well… a certain someone who needs it most… gets her hands on Level Upper. And other things. (more…)

To Aru Kagaku no Railgun Episode 8: Did Mikoto just… act like a little kid?

Saturday, November 21st, 2009
Yes. She is.

Yes. She is.

Garrick: Well, I’m quite happy with the way this anime is taking us. It seems as if we’ve hit the actual story, since all the episodes seem to follow one another in plot and stuff. So, after the whole graviton incident, and upon realizing that something isn’t right, they search for a… level upper.
