And so it begins... the Fourth Round!

Minnie: My throat hurts. I can’t believe how I am still stuck with this cough even though my flu went away last week. I hate coughs that last this long. Instead of going outside, I’ll have to stay inside, keep warm, and blog anime and manga. It’s not too bad I suppose since I do adore Liar Game with all my heart. Hopefully, even with manga blogging, I’ll keep up with all my fall anime. It has been a hectic season and school year for me… Let’s get past this storm together, my friends~

The next game is contagious *shot*

Minnie: I’m delighted to say that in the middle of my workload and other forms of stress, Liar Game updated~ It makes my poor heart feel slightly better. I am down with a cold and lack of sleep. I’m making it all up today as I take a long, relaxing sleep today. Once I feel better, I should be able to study… read… write stories… etc You pick~

This chapter is actually somewhat of a pain to review about because I mean, what can I say really about this chapter? It’s one of those ‘let’s laid out the rules’ chapters that are completely necessary to Liar Game but not very enjoyable to review. =/ I do like reading it though because I mean, the mangaka is a genius and creative to be able to come up with such amusing games. Every time a new round comes about, I’m like is it going to be better than the last one? Heck yes~

This round is interesting in that… well… there’s a practice round before the actual rounds, therefore leaving room for a lot of surprises between the practice and actual round. Of course, even if the practice round doesn’t count, we’ll get a gist of what Akiyama might do in the actual round later on. We know he’s going to pass with Nao… it’s the execution that matters.

About the game itself, the rules are pretty straightforward. I like the setup and it’s sort of hard to predict in a way because one, I’m not good at predicting stuff and two, I am bad at noticing loopholes in general. And for some reason, Liar Game loves loopholes~ If there’s one thing I learn from Liar Game, it is every rule counts. Every info. Every extra addition to the game.

In other words, the winners of the practice round will get a special advantage and this will come into play in the actual match but again, I’m ahead of myself. We have to see how this practice round go first eh?

Anyone wants to place bets that one of the main names will be one of the infected and the other one won’t be? I dunno. I don’t think both the big shots in this round will both be the infected… but that’s just my guess. If you guys already know the answer, please don’t spoil it for me. I can’t read raws… >___<

Will there be some Nao/Akiyama this round? I doubt it but I do like one of them infecting or saving the other one =3 As always, I can’t wait for the next chapter. Liar Game is indeed one of my favorite manga (2nd or 3rd) and I want more of it as soon as possible~

Minnie: I am a few days late in blogging this but that’s because I didn’t notice that it updated during one of my school days! Blast! XD Anyways, this isn’t the most exciting chapter but I’ll blog it anyways because it’s Liar Game and we can always predict/talk about it right? Sometimes, I wonder if it’s best if I wait for the manga to finish and then read the whole thing in one swoop. Haha. Enough about that. Next~

♥ I like this leading up chapter. Some manga have such boring build-up chapters but not Liar Game! Even in a build-up chapter, it remains as exciting and interesting as always. A bit boring than usual but not by that much!

♥ Wow. It might be just me but is that an Akiyama/Nao hint I see?! Akiyama texts her everyday, telling her that everything will be all right. So let me get this straight… even when they’re not together, they communicate every day. That’s sooooo sweet~

♥ Optimistic like always, Nao believes that since they Fukunaga and the others from Round 3 are on their side for Round 4, they’ll be able to win against Mouse Boy (that’s what I call him). You shouldn’t speak so soon Nao since things don’t always go right…

♥ As expected, Nao and Akiyama are alone until they arrive at the docks with a room full of people they did not recognize except for Mouse Boy. Moreover, they learn that there are too many people for Round 4 so they’ll be a prelimanary round to knock half the number of people out!

♥ Although I’m not sure what the game will be for this preliminary, it seems that the stake are as high as ever. Since only a limit number of people can pass this round, I’m going to go out of my way and say Nao, Akiyama, and Mouse Boy will pass for sure, but who will join them and how will they pass?

♥ Is it just me or did that short Fukunaga/Akiyama scene sort of cute? >_< I can’t believe that Fukunaga might be a love rival for Nao.  Sigh~

♥ Away from the love situation, I wonder how many chapters it will take for this prelim to be over with because I want to see Round 4 already. Knowing Liar Game though, this prelim round will be as entertaining as the rest of this manga or so I hope! Until next time, later guys~

Minnie: Thanks to laptop problems and RL problems, I didn’t get Liar Game Chapter 82 up even though it is one of those really amazing chapters. XD Because I mean come on, it reveals what a lot of readers have been suspecting from the beginning of the final match in that revival round. Besides, it concludes most of the final match with only a few mysteries left unsolved, which are then resolved this chapter. I’ll try to type a bit of what was going on in the last chapter in this post entry to make up for it~ I hope you guys enjoy the Liar Game chapters and this quick review!

Nao! Did you get smarter?!

Minnie: I’ve been so busy lately so I haven’t been able to blog (not that there was a lot to blog since I have so little this season). Also, I just discovered yesterday that I’m starting my fall semester earlier than I expected. I was so sure I’m going back to school in September but no, I’m going back by August instead. What does this mean? It means that I have to type my fiction faster! Wait. Wrong blog. I mean I’ll be able to blog faster oncce I’m back to school. It’s weird isn’t it? I work faster with more work than less~ Oh well, that’s just how I roll. Please enjoy this early update of Liar Game!

Fukunaga has another trick up his sleeve~

Minnie: Lookie here. Minnie’s being a bad, irresponsible girl again. She’s supposed to be working on her two-three episodes of Sora no Manimani as well as some Umi Monogatari, but instead, she’s writing a quick blog entry on these two chapters of Liar Game instead! It’s sad but I really love this manga and I know I shouldn’t prioritize these over anime blogging but alas, I am going to. I’ll concentrate on anime… really. I hope.
