So sorry... -pouts-

So sorry for the lateness... -pouts-

Angel: At least the weather was gorgeous this weekend even though I am inside finishing a lab report… :Q

I believe I do not need to focus too much on summary, as I am sure that the followers have seen this episode days ago, neh?

Overview with Comments/Pictures

Surrounded by monsters in the Red Night, Kakeru and Yuka are on the brink of death when a swordswomen, Kusakabe Misuzu, obliterates the tentacle-using blob-like monsters with her lightning inducing sword. Now, this is the coolest weapon ever..

As the three escape, they briefly introduce each other and discuss why they are in this alternate space-time dimension, which Misuzu believes to have been created intentionally. In addition, she wonders if the pair is “chosen,” but alas, they have no (awaken :3) powers.

SHINING- *shot*

SHINING- *shot*

The Opening illustrates Kakeru wielding a similar sword, but I wonder what Yuka’s supposed power may be. This series needs more lightning swords!

Interestingly in this realm, we see the “ghost girl” from the last part of episode 1. This time, she is defeating monsters with glowing chains. She resembles Kakeru’s sister and shares the chains. Are they the same person or different? Is the “ghost” real and a chosen one sent to the Red Night too? It is too early for me to decide, really.

Whenever Misuzu is fighting, I love the music playing; it is kind of techno-ish and pumps my brain during the long winded nights. ^__^

Lisette is soooo adorable. It is painful to see such a sweet loli encased in a crystal tower and surrounded by crystal spears. I suspect that she is imprisoned for having an unconscious/uncontrollable power, which Misuzu suggests.

Episode looks great so far. Action, suspense, plus no tentacles/panties.

It is the evil overlord. Called it. :D

It is the evil overlord. Called it. :D

The enemies (who strangely remind me of.. some Power Ranger boss :’D) refer to Kakeru as “Invidia” so he may be of a special race altogether. Their designs are way cooler than the mentioned boss (where did I even get this idea/reference), however.

Aaaaand right when an epic battle is about to climax, the three are magically transported back to the real world. AGAIN. STOP TEASING ME. The battle music here is great, too. I am a sucker for anything with a beat.

Mmm, food~ Fine fine, this is not a suitable screenshot, lol.

One interesting fact to note is that three other students are involved in the Red Night; two females and one male. I can suspect that the ghost/sister is one for obviously being present in the shadows. As for the other two, basing this on the opening, the fierce blond girl and pyrokinetic gray haired boy may be the other two involved. Besides them, the only other candidates would be Kaori, Tadashi, or the school nurse. Unfortunately, we have not seen anything peculiar in their roles to suggest them fighting demons. On the other hand, we have not seen anything from the blond/gray either. We have only seen Misuzu fight. I can suspect Shiori Momono too, as foreign exchange students are always suspicious. They come to a new nation to.. Poke you… ;D

Off comes the eye patch and what do we have… heterochromia! Who knew. 8D

DO WANT.

DO WANT.

DO NOT WANT.

DO NOT WANT.

Classmates meet up, blah blah. Now, I think Momono may be a sorceress if she is playing mind tricks on Kakeru. Also, WHY DOES SHE STARE. I do not think that is cute… Need more cuteness…

A cute maid for the guys!

A cute maid for the guys!

Hirohara Yukiko works at Kakeru’s place. I smell a harem forming.

Ooh, so Yukiko can heal her cuts super fast. I bet she is one of the three involved. Now, if we all put our heads together and recall Maylene from Kuroshitsuji, we may have here another case of a split personality maid with glasses, eee.

Romance for the ladies~

Sweet romance for the ladies~

Yay, let us hope that Kakeru can protect his “little sister” (bwaha) figure. Hey hey, Yuka can easily develop into a love interest.

Anyway, Kakeru has a strange dream. Honestly, I think he may be deeply involved in the crystal tower and the black armored enemies based on his gold eye’s reaction and his dreams. Maybe Kakeru has amnesia?

Ending theme gives me chills, just check it out!

I am out of ideas and already bloody late, so I will let you guys comment/criticize, which is always appreciated. I am still honing my writing skills. :3

11eyes is developing wonderfully. As I mentioned, less fanservice is always a plus, imo. A serious should sell based on plot, characters, and performance, and not have to resort to trash fanservice.

Till next time, my lovelies. And yes, I will round ratings to the tenth now; this seems more accurate on how I personally rank things than giving most episodes 6-10.

11eyes Episode 1: Who Signed Me Up For Panty Shots?!

Did you really expect me to post panties... For now?

Did you really expect me to post panties... For now?

Angel: Hey, all! A new season brings a plethora of new series~ As you all know, I am an avid procrastinator, so I was stuck with the leftovers; however, I agreed to blogging this series, as it has elements of fantasy/action genres. Minnie knows me well when she reserved 11eyes for me. ^_^

What I did not expect that this series can be erotic. Unnecessary fanservice stinks, gah. D8

Oh, I am trying to be more optimistic~ My lovelies, let’s get on with the show~ GAH

Traumatic Past, Check

At night, a young Kakeru is attacked by a mysterious girl. This girl summons an angelic creature, which impales Kakeru and the shelter with glowing white chains. Then, both Kakeru and the girl collapse in a pool of blood. Watching nearby, a young Yuka is horrified by the event.

I like the snowy television moments and vivid red colors AND ANGELS AND CHAINS, as they emphasize a sense of disruption and horror, which is what every good anime in my book needs. So far, so good.

Awesome Opening, Check

Loads of pictures, sorry. I really like this series’ art! I have taken about 37 shots without 2 minutes of this episode… .-.

Anyway, the opening song is stellar; it is upbeat, diverse, and rockin, as well as wonderfully delivered by the lovely female singer, Ayane.

As for the pictures, I mentioned how the art is great, but none of the characters really stand out so far (because I pick my favorites based on personality, not looks, shh). We have Kakeru, the blue haired male protagonist with an eye patch covering his different colored eye.. Yeah.. But he is awesome when armed with a sword!

Oooh, lightning sword~

Oooh, lightning sword~

The girls are okay design-wise with the variety of eye shapes and hair colors to distinguish between the harem girls. Some appear able to fight, so that is good too. Action girls, yum.

Sense of Buildup and Background to Story, Check

A lone Shinto priestess performs some sort of cryptic fire ritual, which depicts an imprisoned fair-haired girl in the flames. The image of this girl fades in the stirring fire, which dances on and burns the priestess. From wind/burn wounds, the priestess notices that her hand is trickling with blood and her upper arm is imprinted with a mystic emblem. Noticing the new mark, she wonders if she will see “him” again.

Hm, I am not sure what is going on here, but this will be important later, no doubt. I love fire. I am so destructive. <3

striplife
Slice of Life and Panties, Noo!

Meanwhile, together on the school’s rooftop, Kakeru and Yuka notice the moon and chat. The light-hearted scene shifts into a darker tone as Kakeru mourns for his sister, who committed suicide 7 years ago, and he grew up in an orphanage. Miraculously, he met Yuka there, and the two have become inseparable. He wonders how his life would have been without her… What is this sickening feeling of angst?!

Elsewhere, a mysterious young girl with long silver hair and red eyes watches the school. She is the cutest girl so far… Shot.

Later, the duo meet up with Kaori, a pink haired feisty school girl, and Tadashi, an orange haired perverted school boy with some crazy eyebrows. Not interesting, but I liked it when Tadashi asks Kakeru to “record with a cell phone of whatever they are doing alone on a rooftop,” and Kaori reacts by beating the perv with her briefcase and kicking him in the face (although, we have another random panty shot…). Say no to pervs!

Slice of life is boring to me (unless it has an energetic and charismatic character, such as Haruhi~), so let’s trudge on…

stripshatter

Crushing of Hopes and Dreams!

Later on, Kakeru decides to go to the mall with Yuka and overall, they have a sweet moment until hell crashes down. HELL YEAH. So no to mushy lovey stuff!

Suddenly, the world resonates with freaky pounding colors, causing the two to slightly flinch and scream with pain. Kakeru’s eye patch appears to glow, but they soon realize that the environment has transformed into a desolate and deep red scene. Terrified, Yuka tries to find her parents at her house. Before Kakeru can even wish to comfort her, he senses something nearby, and they run towards the school to seek help, only to be obstructed by one friggin ugly monster. Its roars causes it to multiply, and the numerous monsters surround the two. Uhh. o_o

I love the shattering glass, the red tint, black moon, and the creepy music played during the “red night” scene. Oh man, I still have chills from watching the RAW um, many days ago. Bah, late. :c

Somehow, the “glass” shatters again, symbolizing their return to reality. Both are weakened from the experience and could not sleep well. The next school day, a new classmate (the silver haired girl) is introduced as Momono Shiori, who is supposedly of Italian descent. Although the classmates are eager to talk to her, she is not interested. She walks towards Kakeru/Yuka and after staring ominously, Momono appears to cause Yuka to faint.

MEH, SCHOOL. I do not watch anime to watch something I detest. School. Blargh. I watch anime to escape reality, yay.

Kakeru’s nightmare involves fire, specifically a city burning. With Pandora fresh on my mind, I hope another tragedy has occurred. Tragedies are instant win in my uhh uhh destructive bible. <3

It is funny how easily Yuka cries from Kakeru wishing to always protect her.. Why cry? Tears of joy?

Another mysterious girl into the pile… This one stalking Kakeru and Yuka has a ghostly dark aura. What exactly could this mean? Is it (she?) a dead or evil spirit?

Yuka’s fainting and awareness of the spirit may suspect Momono as a supernatural/mystical being, but I am now sure that the former is a ploy for more fanservice in the nurse’s office, ugh.

stripend

Crush, Crush, Crush!

Kakeru and Yuka are enjoying the day together by going shopping and visiting a park. It is sweet how Kakeru rests in her lap, but this is too mushy for me. I am a sex phobe unless the love is practically canon and reinforced, eee!

Suddenly, the ghostly figure appears and is identified as Kakeru’s dead sister. Then, the shattering glass cues and two are plunged into the Red Night. The monsters reappear, oh noes, a cliffhanger!

Ending

Sorry I am rushed on time to take screenshots (I do them all manually, unlike some who have programs). I do not really listen to endings. Maybe tomorrow I will update this. D:

Wait, my video did not even show the ending tune. >:C

~

Now that is a beautfil moon~

First Impressions

My comments are scattered throughout the post, lol. I guess my style is going through a phase. Oh, how one mentally changes when stressed, bwaha.

Overall, the storyline, aesthetics, and music are enjoyable and promising. We are presented a lot of mystery and plot options, but nothing in the first episode is really developed yet. However, the dramatic shift from simple and mindless slice of life to a demonic scene is profound. I hope the producers can focus on this horror element, and thus, I will be hooked.

On the other hand, if the eroticism becomes a problem, I may be forced to drop this (and go for something cleaner like Kobato, aww). Unfortunately, I live in a busy house, so if anyone passes by and sees panties on my laptop screen (and the next episode has tentacles, dear God!), I may be disowned for watching such things. :<

We shall see how this series unfolds. I am unaware of the other sources, so watching this will be a first. ^_^

Until next time, my lovelies~
