Guin Saga Episode 3: Rise of the Monkey People

The final member of the team in the intro appears
TAAN: You’ve got to be kidding me. I finish one and another one pops up? Well, it’s not like it takes that much time. I just get distracted easily if I do the same thing for long enough, so… I’m hungry…
Guin Saga Episode 2: Unconditional Agreeability
Saturday, April 25th, 2009
Grunts with faces? Ether they'll die soon or become actually important.
TAAN: Yes well I’m a bit slow, I know. I had everything typed up and waiting for screenshots a few days ago, but well, I had stuff and good reasons. I’ll try to be more on time next time.
Hyper Summary: GUIN and the PARROS HEIRS are CAPTURED by the NINJA-KNIGHT PATROL. Guin got ANGRY at some point, but a mental image of the COIN OF JANUS made him reasonable again. Both sides are strangely UNDERSTANDING though and not much happens, until they get to TEH CASTLE, aka STAFOLOS KEEP (Linda does explain all relevant HISTORICAL EVENTS though. It’s nothing special). Linda gets a PREMONITION of NON-PREMONITIONABILITYNESS and resists going in. They go in anyways, since they are CAPTIVES. There, they meet the master of the keep, BLACK COUNT VANON, who takes interest in Guin and makes him fight a GRAY APE, which Guin beats down after a bit of STRUGGLE and some OUTSIDE HELP. He’s then forced to face a NEW GUY, a PRISONER called Istavan. Then the episode ENDS.
Highlights:
This guy:

He has a face...

...And a name! He must be important
This other guy:

I'll bet his importance is directly proportional to Vanon's ...or inversely... Either way, it's dependent on Vanon
The Evil Guy:

Apparently he's the only nonagreeable person thie ep, unless you count the Gray Ape.

He also needs to work on his intimidating exits
MIND CRUSH!

Now discard all copies of Divine Knight Ishzark from your hand or deck! Ahahaha! Wait-
That guy:

Sure whatever. He's Istavan the Crimson Mercenary of Valachia.
That guy who “died”:

He's in the intro, so he can't be dead. Also, he had a name.
Ending thoughts: Well, four suspiciously important characters were introduced this time. There’s a high chance that Mr. Merc over there either unofficially joins the party or helps from the side or just goes around aiding one side for unknown reasons. There’s also the NON-generic soldier guy who will probably either go on reluctantly serving against Guin or get kicked out and try to aid him. He’s probably highly important since his name was used three times, twice in rapid sucession. There’s nothing much special about this episode otherwise, so yeah. Also, I hate it when the spellings of stuff are inconsistent between subs. I’m going to use Pallos, Linda, Remus, and Monghol from now on unless someone corrects me or something.
Ratings:
Episode 2: 6/10
Anticipation: 9/10
TAAN: Now, because I can, a crappy 4koma from screenshots with no comedic value:

Apparently that justifies it.
Guin Saga Episode 1: It’s all so familiar

And so it begins
TAAN: Guin Saga, apparently an incredibly long running novel in Japan, is now given an anime adaption. Just how will it hold against it’s amazing legacy? Right, I’ll stop that now. Here’s the review.
