Steve: Hello. This is Steve with your mid-season review. I would like to take a moment to say that I beat Minnie at posting for once. Anyways, I am doing this to increase my post counts to state what I think of this sleepy Winter season. Despite the Winter Season having a lot of uninteresting shows, there are a couple of worthy mentions. Warning: Steve biasness is extremely high. Proceed with caution.

Time for a mandatory tragic past.

Katt: I know what you’re thinking; “You’re not Angel!” It’s true, it’s true. It’s just little ol’ Katt here, taking Angel’s place for the Kurokami review this week since Angel is having computer problems. There was no entry written for Kurokami last week, so I’ll just sum up the main point of development very very briefly: Keita is a substitute, not a master root. This means that he is weaker than his doppleliners, and thus Kuro is weaker than she would be had she made a contract with a master root. Also, when a substitute lends their power to a Mototsumitama, they will age faster and thus die faster. Summed up even more briefly? If Keita continues as Kuro’s contractee, he will die sooner than later. But in order to break a contract, one of them would have to die. Dramatic? I think so.

After a huge battle, relax with a cup of tea.

Angel: I have Kurokami this week, as Garrick is ill. He published Episode 3 and was planning to smack 4 and 5 together, but since he isn’t feeling well, he can’t accomplish that. My point is, I haven’t seen Kurokami since my review of Episode 2. Bare with me, as my eyes are burning and I’m hyper over some Pokemon event tomorrow. I’m preparing myself to scare children. Err, I’m doing homework now instead of tomorrow.

I’m pleased that this episode opens up with an intense brawl between the sweet Kuro and the burly Steiner. Epicness is guaranteed, right? B-b-b-but! Little girls drinking tea in Kurokami, nuu, I need action. Let’s see if my appetite is satisfied. (more…)

Steve: First of all, I blame Minnie for not informing me of a deadline on the first impression post. Now, I have to work my ass off to get one done in time for her to stay happy and not sentence me to years of becoming her personal slave. I am watching almost all the animu this season so this will be one long post. Or not. You’ll see what I mean once you enter my realm where knives and chainsaws are free for the taking.

Ric: Hey everyone, I’m back I suppose, though first I would like to apologise for being gone so long, I’ve not been well recently. I think my immune system figured out that it was winter and just decided “Hey, let’s go on holiday, he won’t mind!”

Time for another blogger's opinion!

Katt: I guess it’s a tad late in the season to really call this a first impressions post, but I wanted to wait until at least the first Kemono no Souja Erin episode was subbed before I wrote this. So now it’s more of a Not-Quite-First Impressions Post, but shh! The intention is still there! I have not tasted nearly as many of the season’s series as my fellow bloggers, and I haven’t even bothered watching series that I predicted would not interest me at all. Why waste my time, right? In any case, my impressions~

Starvation and sleep deprivation. Sounds like my life.

Angel: So yeah, it’s finally my turn for Kurokami. I’ve been TERRIBLY sick the past few days. I was sniffling and sleeping in my class on Thursday. My head was down, and my teacher walked up to me saying, “Lisa, are you all right? You can talk to me about whatever you want.” I shot up, stared at him, and said, “Dude, I’m not emo. I’m sick.” I still rofl at him. 8D;;

Anyways, our fabulous death toll has reached 3 last episode. I wonder what this delicious episode will bring, and maybe it will lift my mood.. Or make me sick; however, so far, Kurokami is quite appealing. (more…)

Ric: Well, the new season has officially started, so here’s the first of “my reviews” for 2009 (Gundam doesn’t count as it was late). I know Lisa is meant to be the primary for this, but I wanted to help so you’ll have to deal with me for a little while. May Haruhi have mercy on your souls.
